Music Supervisor + Original Composition

Drew Lerdal is a man of few words, ‘Brevity is the better part of valor’ you might say… actually, we might say. He walks in, smiles, says ‘Good Morning (or ‘Whaddup?’) and asks, “What are we doing today?” Occasionally, in the midst of all this silence, he’ll whip out some thoughtful, articulate commentary on the economy, politics, religion, social trends… ‘Where did THAT come from?’ we wonder….

Drew plays the guitar, amongst many other instruments. He garnered his formal education, a degree in Music, from Black Hills State U. in Spearfish, South Dakota. He also happens to hail from the ‘Great Faces, Great Places’ state, but just smiles when people ask, ‘Have you been to Mount Rushmore?’

At inthegroovemusic, Drew mans our studio number three, where he spends his days writing music for advertising, or producing artists for our burgeoning publishing empire, or managing the administrative details of… well, pretty much anything to do with or requiring Microsoft Xcel (tip: Need a spreadsheet? Talk to Drew).

On the weekends, Drew travels the Midwest with his band ‘Judd Hoos.’ A quick search on Google reveals nothing regarding the name’s origin; a fact that, once again, falls under the veil of Herr Lerdal’s ‘Brevity…
